What the size does not tell you

The size says whether a tire fits the wheel. These say whether it fits the truck, and what it carries once it does.

Load index, per tire

  • 1091,030 kg · 2,271 lb

The most each tire carries at the maximum pressure molded on its sidewall. Four of them are the ceiling for the set; your truck's own axle ratings still apply on top.

Four checks

  • Height33 and 35 inches is taller than most trucks leave the factory on. Check clearance at full lock and full compression, or plan a lift.
  • RimThe last number of the size has to be your wheel's diameter, and the wheel has to be wide enough for a 12.50 section.
  • SetBuy four of one model. An M/T and an R/T on the same truck put two different treads on the road.
  • SpeedoA tire taller than stock makes the speedometer read lower than your real speed, by more the bigger the jump.
